Very important is a home loss of third ranked ALBA Berlin (14-6) against sixth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (14-6) on Saturday night. Host ALBA Berlin was defeated by EnBW Ludwigsburg in a tough game in Berlin 74-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ALBA Berlin. The best for the losing side was American point guard Will Cherry (185-91, college: Montana) with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Ismet Akpinar (192-95, agency: Beo Basket) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. EnBW Ludwigsburg moved-up to fourth place, which they share with ALBA and EWE Baskets. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against league's second-placed Deutsche Bank Skyliners in Frankfurt in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ALBA Berlin will play on the road against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and hopes to get back on the winning track.
