No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Istanbulgucu (11-4) beat at home 10th ranked Elazig (4-10) 68-55 on Saturday. Istanbulgucu forced 20 Elazig turnovers. It was a good game for Gizem Uca (170-94) who led her team to a victory with 21 points and 4 assists. American forward Breanna Brock (187-90, college: Missouri, agency: Gamble Sports Management) contributed with 9 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Istanbulgucu's coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. American power forward Sharon Houston (191-88, college: Indiana NW) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Kamile Altun (-94) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Elazig. The victory was the third consecutive win for Istanbulgucu. They maintain fourth place in Group B with 11-4 record. Newly promoted Elazig keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Istanbulgucu will face league's second-placed Osmaniye on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
