Regular Season Round 19: Leotar - Spars Sarajevo 69-56

The game between second ranked Spars Sarajevo (14-5) and fourth ranked Leotar (13-6) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Spars Sarajevo was defeated by Leotar in Trebinje 69-56. Leotar dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Spars Sarajevo's 32. They outrebounded Spars Sarajevo 43-23 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized Serbian forward Nikola Djurasovic (197-83) fired 9 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin forward Bojan Pelkic (204-83) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Kenan Bajramovic (206-81) produced 16 points and the former international swingman Nikola Gajic (195-91, college: SF Austin) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leotar have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Mladost. Spars Sarajevo at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Leotar is looking forward to face Zrinjski HT (#10) in Mostar in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spars Sarajevo will play at home against Varda HE (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
