Second Stage Round 6: Dynamo-NPU - Interkhim 53-64

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Dynamo-NPU (5-1) in Kyiv on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Interkhim (6-1) 64-53. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Dynamo-NPU. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Interkhim held Dynamo-NPU to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Dynamo-NPU 63-40 including a 23-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best for the losing side was Russian forward Elena Koshurina (182-85) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Viktoriya Kondus (170-97) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Interkhim have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Defending champion Dynamo-NPU dropped to the second place with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
