The game in Lichterfelde supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Veilchen (9-7) played at the court of 7th ranked TuSLi Berlin (7-8). Veilchen smashed TuSLi Berlin 88-54. The game was mostly controlled by Veilchen. TuSLi Berlin was better in third quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding TuSLi Berlin to just 4 points in first quarter. Veilchen dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to TuSLi Berlin's 32. Veilchen forced 23 TuSLi Berlin turnovers. Center Julia Sandow (182) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and Annalena Blume (180-96) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. TuSLi Berlin's coach Alexandra Maerz gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Veilchen moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Braunschweig. TuSLi Berlin lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Veilchen's next round opponent will be B.Loewen (#10) at home which should be theoretically another easy game. TuSLi Berlin will play against the league's leader Hannover and hope to win that game.
