There was no surprise when 11th ranked TED Kolejliler (7-10) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Usak Sportlif (9-8) 74-67 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 35-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Canadian center Khem Birch (208-92, college: UNLV) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Giordan Watson (178-85, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 21 points. Georgian forward Viktor Sanikidze (203-86) produced 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Kalin Lucas (185-89, college: Michigan St.) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Usak Sportlif maintains seventh place with 9-8 record. Loser TED Kolejliler keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Usak Sportlif will face higher ranked Darussafaka (#6) in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TED Kolejliler will play on the road against Yesilgiresun (#14) in Giresun and hope to win that game.
