Regular Season Round 22: Horsholm - Bakken 88-82

The most important game in the last round took place in Horsholm between third ranked Bakken (15-4) and fifth ranked Horsholm (10-12) on Wednesday night. Bakken was defeated by Horsholm in a tough game on the road 82-88. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 51-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) fired 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international point guard Frederik Nielsen (180-88) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. Yates is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Horsholm players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Thomas Laerke (195-91) produced 19 points and 5 assists and American Shawn Glover (201-90, college: ORU, agency: Comsport) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Horsholm maintains fifth position with 10-12 record. Bakken at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. Horsholm are looking forward to face Randers (#6) at home in the next round. Bakken will play against SISU (#8) in Copenhagen and is hoping to win this game.
