Seventh-ranked Dukes (10-14) were very close to win a game against third ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (14-10) on Thursday. Redwell Gunners Oberwart managed to secure only one-point victory 88-87. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Dukes won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Dukes used huge pressure winning it 16-14 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 14-15. It was a good game for Lithuanian center Adomas Drungilas (203-90) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Quincy Diggs (198-90, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Redwell Gunners Oberwart players scored in double figures. American forward Malik Cooke (201-89, college: S.Carolina) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: Inception Sports) added 21 points and 6 assists in the effort for Dukes. Redwell Gunners Oberwart have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Dukes lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will face Raiffeisen Wels (#6) on the road in the next round. Dukes will play against Gmunden Swans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
