Bottom-ranked Bakospor (0-16) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to third ranked Cankaya (12-3) 129-56 on Friday evening. Cankaya dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Bakospor's 36. Cankaya forced 36 Bakospor turnovers and outrebounded them 50-28 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Bakospor's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Aktas Sule (-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 10 steals and Ceren Gokdemir (-92) who added 16 points, 10 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals during the contest. At the losing side Dilara Hazal Kara (-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Melek Kileci (-95) scored 14 points. Five Cankaya and four Bakospor players scored in double figures. Cankaya have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group B with 12-3 record having just three points less than leader Ormanspor. Newly promoted Bakospor still closes the standings with 16 games lost. Cankaya will face Alanya Bld (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Bakospor will play against Bursa BSB and hopes to get finally their first victory.
