Regular Season Round 17: SC Kryvbas - VolinBasket 91-60

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked SC Kryvbas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. SC Kryvbas smashed 9th ranked VolinBasket in Kryvyi Rih 91-60. The game without a history. SC Kryvbas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to VolinBasket's 32. SC Kryvbas forced 25 VolinBasket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by VolinBasket's players. The best player for the winners was Russian guard Artem Shchepkin (194-86) who scored 14 points and 9 assists. International swingman Dmytro Gliebov (198-88, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Shchepkin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Nikola Polyulyak (192-90) produced 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American Hakeem Jackson (206, college: Livingstone) added 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SC Kryvbas (19-4) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. VolinBasket lost third consecutive game. VolinBasket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay dead last with 21 lost games.
