Regular Season Round 18: Demir IBB - Trabzonspor 75-71

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Demir IBB (9-8) won against 12th ranked Trabzonspor (7-11) in Buyukcekmece 75-71 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-71. Demir IBB made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American-Tunisian Michael Roll (197-87, college: UCLA) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 7 assists. American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Croatian-Bosnian center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86, agency: Beo Basket) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard Derwin Kitchen (194-86, college: Florida St.) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Trabzonspor. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trabzonspor's coach Nenad Markovic let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Demir IBB moved-up to seventh place. Trabzonspor lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Demir IBB will face league's second-placed Anadolu Efes in Istanbul in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Trabzonspor will play at home against Karsiyaka (#4) and hope to win that game.
