Regular Season Round 20: Zrinjski HT - Leotar 66-76

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Leotar (14-6) won against 10th ranked Zrinjski HT (7-13) in Mostar 76-66 on Saturday. Leotar dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Zrinjski HT's 26. They outrebounded Zrinjski HT 33-22 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by swingman Dejan Sakotic (195-93) who scored that evening 14 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian power forward Miroslav Radenkovic (203-83) supported him with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Leotar players scored in double figures. Leotar's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds by forward Alin Demic (202-91) did not help to save the game for Zrinjski HT. American guard Kevin Brown (190-92, college: New Orleans) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the hosts. Leotar have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Zrinjski HT dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Gradjanski. Leotar will meet at home Gradjanski (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Zrinjski HT will play against Varda HE and hope to secure a win.
