The game between second ranked Bakken (17-5) and 5th ranked Horsholm (11-13) in Aarhus on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Bakken outscored guests from Horsholm 112-67. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 112-67. Bakken shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Horsholm's players. Horsholm was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American Shawn Glover (201-90, college: ORU, agency: Comsport) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international swingman Thomas Laerke (195-91) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) answered with 14 points and the other American import forward Drew Maynard (200-89, college: Rochester, MI) added 17 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Horsholm. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken maintains second place with 17-5 record having six points less than leader Horsens IC. Loser Horsholm keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. Bakken will face again Horsholm (#5) at home in the next round.
