Regular Season Round 18: Darussafaka - Usak 92-52

The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Darussafaka's (11-7) home victory over 7th ranked Usak Sportlif (9-9) in Istanbul 92-52 on Monday. The game without a history. Darussafaka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Usak Sportlif's 20. Darussafaka forced 24 Usak Sportlif turnovers and outrebounded them 35-21 including a 25-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Darussafaka shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Usak Sportlif's players. It was a good game for American swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Scottie Wilbekin (188-92, college: Florida) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Canadian center Khem Birch (208-92, college: UNLV) replied with 10 points and 8 rebounds and American guard D'Angelo Harrison (193, college: St.John's) added 15 points in the effort for Usak Sportlif. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Darussafaka moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Banvit BK. Loser Usak Sportlif dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Darussafaka will face TED Kolejliler (#11) in Ankara in the next round where they are favorite. Usak Sportlif will play at home against Konyaspor and hope to win that game.
