Regular Season Round 21: Denizli - Eskisehir Basket 76-80

Round 21 games in the TBL were marked by very close results. The first upset was a home defeat of 4th placed Denizli (14-7) to seventh ranked Eskisehir Basket (11-10) 80-76. American point guard Leemire Goldwire (184-85, college: Charlotte, agency: HMS) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St., agency: Ali Guney BA) chipped in 18 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Kenny Boynton (188-91, college: Florida) with 25 points and forward Mustafa Bakir Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four Denizli players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Eskisehir Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 11-10 record. Denizli at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Sakarya BSB. Eskisehir Basket are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Istanbul DSI (#18) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Denizli will play against Mamak DSI (#11) in Ankara and is hoping to win this game.
