Regular Season Round 23: Bakken - Horsens IC 77-82

An interesting game for Horsens IC (22-1) which played road game in Aarhus against second-ranked Bakken (17-5). First ranked Horsens IC managed to get a 5-point victory 82-77. It looked good early as Bakken took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Horsens IC took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 5 points. It was a great evening for American guard Marquis Addison (193-91, college: Missouri So.) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Bosnian swingman Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) helped adding 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Horsens IC players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Darko Jukic (199-90, agency: Two Points) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Bakken's coach Israel Martin tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Horsens IC. Defending champion maintains first place with 22-1 record. Bakken at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Horsens IC will play against Stevnsgade (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bakken will play against Horsholm (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
