Regular Season Round 19: SISU - Stevnsgade 78-89

Dameligaen top team - Stevnsgade (14-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked SISU (3-14) in Copenhagen 89-78. Stevnsgade made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 27 SISU turnovers. Strangely SISU outrebounded Stevnsgade 48-29 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) who led her team to a victory scoring 30 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. International guard Maja Gerlyng-Hansen (180-88, college: Siena) helped adding 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!). Four Stevnsgade players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Olivia Applewhite (183-91, college: Dayton) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Victoria Mikkelsen (180-97) scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Stevnsgade maintains first place with 14-3 record. SISU lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Stevnsgade will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SISU will play on the road against Amager (#4) in Kastrup and hopes to get back on the winning track.
