Balikesir did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 78-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sakarya BSB. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Balikesir's pressure prevailed and they won that period 21-11 extending their advantage to 17 points. It was a good game for American forward Mike Davis (205-88, college: Illinois) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard D.J. Thompson (173-85, college: Appalachian St.) contributed with 14 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Balikesir players scored in double figures. Balikesir's coach Mete Babaoglu used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. FYR Macedonian-American point guard Darius Washington (188-85, college: Memphis) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Kerem Ozkan (201-88) added 18 points in the effort for Sakarya BSB. Balikesir maintains sixth place with 13-8 record. Sakarya BSB at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Balikesir's next round opponent will be Gelisim (#9) in Izmir. Sakarya BSB will play at home against Final Genclik (#16) and hope to win that game.
