Bandirma Kir. (#15) forced the game against Gelisim (#9) into an overtime, but lost by twelve points 81-93 on Wednesday night. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime then Bandirma Kir. managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Gelisim who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-9. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Five Gelisim and four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. Gelisim (10-11) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Afyon. Newly promoted Bandirma Kir. keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Gelisim will meet higher ranked Balikesir (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bandirma Kir. will play against the league's leader Tofas (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
