Third ranked Vienna (14-10) crushed at home 10th ranked UBSC Graz (8-17) by 28 points 84-56, which is the biggest margin this round on Thursday night. The game without a history. Vienna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to UBSC Graz's 24. They outrebounded UBSC Graz 48-21 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vienna looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Lithuanian center Povilas Gaidys (208-91, college: Southeastern) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Slovenian guard Jure Pelko (190-90) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vienna. They maintain third place with 14-10 record having seven points less than leader Gussing. Loser UBSC Graz stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Vienna will meet league's second-placed Redwell Gunners Oberwart on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UBSC Graz will play against Furstenfeld Panthers (#4) and hope to secure a win.
