Regular Season Round 20: Virum - Lemvig 84-57

Very significant was Virum's (#2, 12-5) victory against one of their biggest challengers Lemvig (11-6) 84-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lemvig. The game without a history. Virum led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They outrebounded Lemvig 36-24 including 21 on the defensive glass. Virum looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Lemvig's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Nikoline Oestergaard (183-92, college: Quinnipiac) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and American center Val Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Virum players scored in double figures. American guard Gillian Abshire (175-93, college: Quinnipiac) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and FYR Macedonian point guard Ivana Udovalieva (174-84) scored 12 points. Virum have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Virum maintains second position with 12-5 record having just two points less than leader Stevnsgade. Lemvig at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Virum are looking forward to face Aabyhoj (#6) on the road in the next round. Lemvig will play against Amager and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
