Second Stage Round 8: Blyskavky - Tavriyska Zivka 78-43

Bottom-ranked Tavriyska Zivka is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to third ranked Blyskavky (6-2) 78-43. The game was mostly controlled by Blyskavky. Tavriyska Zivka was better in fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tavriyska Zivka to just 7 points in second quarter. Blyskavky dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tavriyska Zivka's 32. They outrebounded Tavriyska Zivka 49-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was center Oksana Stepanyuk (190-95) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Viktoriya Ilchyshyna (168-91) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Blyskavky players scored in double figures. Daria Shtura produced 7 points and 5 rebounds and Margarita Glebova added 8 points respectively for the guests. Blyskavky moved-up to second place, which they share with Dynamo-NPU. Tavriyska Zivka at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
