Regular Season Round 24: Koeln Rh.Stars - Gotha 53-70

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Koeln Rh.Stars (10-13) lost at home to fourth ranked Oettinger Rockets Gotha (17-7) 70-53. The game without a history. Oettinger Rockets Gotha led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Koeln Rh.Stars' 26. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Delvon Johnson (206-89, college: Arkansas, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Cypriot point guard Christopher Razis (194-89) who added 11 points and 10 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Lakeem Jackson (196-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) scored 4 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Oettinger Rockets Gotha have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 17-7 record. Koeln Rh.Stars lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Oettinger Rockets Gotha will play against bottom-ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Koeln Rh.Stars will play against Gladiators (#6) in Trier and hope to get back on the winning track.
