Regular Season Round 24: Baunach - Kirchheim 53-76

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Kirchheim Knights (18-7) outplayed on the road 10th ranked Baunach (11-13) 76-53. The game without a history. Kirchheim Knights led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Baunach's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordan Wild (203-88, college: Fresno Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 9 rebounds and center Andreas Kronhardt (205-89) who added 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Tibor Taras (197-97) with 13 points and center Leon Kratzer (208-97) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kirchheim Knights maintains third position with 18-7 record having just two points less than leader Jena. Baunach at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Chemnitz. Kirchheim Knights will play against league's leader Science City Jena at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Baunach will play against Nuernberg (#7) in Nurnberg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
