Second Stage Round 9: Interkhim - Frankivsk 80-52

An interesting game for Interkhim (8-1) which hosted in Odessa 4th placed Frankivsk (5-3). First ranked Interkhim had an easy win 80-52. The game was mostly controlled by Interkhim. Frankivsk was better in fourth quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Interkhim players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Frankivsk's players. The best player for the winners was center Kristina Karp (193-98) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Arina Bilotserkivska (-89) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. Interkhim's coach Iryna Shchipakina felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Darya Zavidna (185-93) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and Anna Stafiuk added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Interkhim have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Frankivsk at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
