Very predictable result in Lefkosa where second ranked Hatay (15-5) beat 11th ranked Yakin Dogu (7-13) 78-64 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian point guard Natalie Hurst (164-83) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American swingman Bahar Ozturk (183-84, college: Connecticut, agency: 1x1 Sports) who added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Hatay players scored in double figures. American forward Alyssa Thomas (188-92, college: Maryland) responded with 25 points and Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Hatay maintains second position with 15-5 record behind leader Fenerbahce, which they share with Mersin. Newly promoted Yakin Dogu keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Hatay will meet at home Adana ASKI (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Yakin Dogu will have a break next round.
