Regular Season Round 15: Parklji - Konjice 92-77

An interesting game took place in Bezigrad where 4th placed Konjice (8-7) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Parklji (7-8) 92-77. The game was mostly controlled by Parklji. Konjice was better in third quarter 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Parklji players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Konjice was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for center Matija Radanovic (202-95) who led the winners and scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Andraz Rogelja (188-95) accounted for 25 points for the winning side. Guard Tomaz Jereb (192-91) came up with 21 points and 7 assists and center Crt Lipovsek (194-88) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Konjice in the defeat. Five Konjice players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Parklji moved-up to eighth place. Konjice lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Sezana. Parklji will play against higher ranked Sezana (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Konjice will play against Celje and hopes to get back on the winning track.
