Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Konyaspor (6-12) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Usak Sportlif (10-9) 86-69 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Usak Sportlif dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Konyaspor's 28. It was a great evening for American Andre Harris (201-85, college: Fair Dickinson) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Canadian center Khem Birch (208-92, college: UNLV) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Usak Sportlif players scored in double figures. Usak Sportlif's coach Ozan Bulkaz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American center Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina, agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 8 points and 15 rebounds and Serbian power forward Vanja Plisnic (207-80, agency: Beo Basket) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Usak Sportlif moved-up to seventh place. Konyaspor lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Usak Sportlif will face higher ranked Galatasaray (#3) in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Konyaspor will play at home against TED Kolejliler (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
