Very expected game when 14th ranked Orduspor (4-16) was rolled over at home by fifth ranked Abdullah Gul (14-6) 88-66 on Sunday. Abdullah Gul dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Orduspor's 34. Abdullah Gul forced 26 Orduspor turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Orduspor's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek forward Zoi Dimitrakou (188-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Pinar Demirok (182-91, agency: 1x1 Sports) who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Abdullah Gul's coach Ayhan Avci felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Tierra Ruffin-Pratt (178-91, college: N.Carolina) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Ozge Kavurmacioglu (187-93) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Abdullah Gul moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Galatasaray. Orduspor lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Abdullah Gul will meet at home Gelistirenler (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Orduspor will play against the league's leader Fenerbahce (#1) in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
