Important game to mention about took place in Berdiansk. Third ranked Blyskavky (7-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Chaika (3-4) 86-83 on Sunday evening. Chaika was ahead by 9 points after three quarters before a 29-17 charge of Blyskavky, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 21 Chaika turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Center Oksana Stepanyuk (190-95) stepped up and scored 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and power forward Cynthia Omoboogunje (185-94) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was international center Olga Yatskovets (183-97) with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Irina Fomenko (180-91) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Blyskavky have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Dynamo-NPU. Chaika at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
