Second Stage Round 9: Tavriyska Zivka - Frankivsk 70-83

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Tavriyska Zivka (1-6) lost to fourth ranked Frankivsk (5-3) in Kherson 70-83 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Frankivsk's pressure prevailed and they won that period 22-19 extending their advantage to 13 points. It was a good game for forward Viktoriya Karyeva (187-92) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Anna Stafiuk contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Frankivsk players scored in double figures. Forward Svetlana Maliar (180-88) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and guard Mariya Tkach (177-92) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tavriyska Zivka. Tavriyska Zivka's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Frankivsk maintains fourth place with 5-3 record. Loser Tavriyska Zivka keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
