Academia outrebounded Esgueira / Oli 23-10 including a 18-5 advantage in defensive rebounds. Angolan forward Benedito Suca (196-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Ba Cassama (195-85) contributed with 9 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Pedro Valente (175-85) answered with 18 points and center Andre Occhialini (193-93) added 13 points in the effort for Esgueira / Oli.
