We should mention about the upset which took place in Mersin, where higher ranked Istanbul Uni (10-10) lost to thirteenth ranked Adana ASKI (5-15) in a road game 71-81. Adana ASKI players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Croatian-American guard Shavonte Zellous (178-86, college: Pittsburgh) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 4 steals. Serbian guard Miljana Bojovic (181-87) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard Tan White (170-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Ukrainian-Bulgarian center Viktoria Mircheva (190-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Istanbul Uni. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Adana ASKI moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Edirne. Istanbul Uni at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Canik Bld. Adana ASKI will play against league's second-placed Hatay on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Istanbul Uni will play against Canik Bld (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
