Regular Season Round 28: Wels - Gussing 64-76

A Bundesliga top team - Gussing Knights (24-3) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat fifth ranked Raiffeisen Wels (12-16) 76-64. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-64. International point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-90, agency: Two Points) fired 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Thomas Klepeisz (185-91, agency: HMS) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. Gussing Knights' coach Daniel Mullner used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) produced 24 points and 4 assists and American guard Devante Wallace (196-92, college: High Point) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Gussing Knights have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 24-3 record. Loser Raiffeisen Wels dropped to the sixth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Klosterneuburg. Gussing Knights will meet at home league's second-placed Redwell Gunners Oberwart in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Raiffeisen Wels will play against Vienna (#3) in Wien and hope to secure a win.
