The most exciting game of round 28 in the A Bundesliga took place in Traiskirchen. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Furstenfeld Panthers (14-14) to sixth ranked Arkadia Lions (13-15) 69-67 on Friday evening. Furstenfeld Panthers were trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 19-12 charge of Arkadia Lions, which allowed them to win the game. Arkadia Lions outrebounded Furstenfeld Panthers 43-31 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who added 13 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Croatian Marko Car (188-85) responded with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Croatian swingman Luka Katura (194-89) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Furstenfeld Panthers players scored in double figures. Arkadia Lions moved-up to fifth place. Furstenfeld Panthers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 14 games lost. Arkadia Lions are looking forward to face Kapfenberg Bulls (#8) on the road in the next round. Furstenfeld Panthers will play against Dukes (#7) and are hoping to win this game.
