American center Whitney Jones (183-87, college: Arkansas, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and guard Cansu Aslan (170-90) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Mersin Kurtulus in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Edremit have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place in Group A with 15-4 record having just three points less than leader Ormanspor. Mersin Kurtulus at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Edremit will play against Yalova Vip (#5) at home in the next round. Mersin Kurtulus will play against Anadolu Univ. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
