There was a surprise result in Moletai where thirteenth ranked Ezerunas-Karys (11-24) beat higher ranked Silute (16-19) 91-86 on Saturday. Silute was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 31-21 charge of Ezerunas-Karys, which allowed them to win the game. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Ezerunas-Karys outrebounded Silute 41-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Raimundas Ambrulaitis (200-82) had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 26 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Edvinas Alunderis (202-92) responded with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and center Aurelijus Pukelis (206-94) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Silute players scored in double figures. Ezerunas-Karys maintains thirteenth position with 11-24 record. Silute at the other side keeps the ninth place with 19 games lost. Ezerunas-Karys will have a break next round.
