No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Istanbulgucu (13-6) won against at home 9th ranked Urla BLD (7-13) 71-63 on Saturday. Istanbulgucu forced 29 Urla BLD turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Breanna Brock (187-90, college: Missouri, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Gizem Uca (170-94) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. Istanbulgucu's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side American center Molly Schlemer (196-92, college: Cal Poly - SLO) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and the former international forward Didem Suer (188-77) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Istanbulgucu moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with TED Ankara. Loser Urla BLD dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Istanbulgucu will face Bursa BSB (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Urla BLD will play against Nevsehir GHSIM and hope to win that game.
