Very predictable result in Angra Heroismo where second ranked Terceira (9-3) smashed 7th ranked Vasco (4-9) 83-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Terceira led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Naturalized Sao Tome and Principe center Ekjersey Viana (203-77) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Luis Felipe Tomassi (175-92) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Five Terceira players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Paulo Vieira (-94) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Miguel Toreia (180-93) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Vasco's coach Hugo Salgado gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Terceira have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Places 1-8 with 9-3 record having just two points less than leader Illiabum. Vasco lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. Terceira are looking forward to face Angrabasket (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Vasco will play against Angrabasket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
