Regular Season Round 32: Aistes-LSU - Suduva 36-76

LMKL top team - Suduva (19-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Aistes-LSU (2-20) in Kaunas 76-36. The game without a history. Suduva led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aistes-LSU to just 4 points in second quarter and to 13 points in first half. Suduva held Aistes-LSU to an opponent 21.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Aistes-LSU 49-34 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Suduva players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Aistes-LSU's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of international forward Neringa Skadaite (179-92) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Shanika Butler (170-89, college: UALR, agency: Two Points) who added 10 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Suduva players scored in double figures. Forward Goda Ziutelyte (175-93) responded with 12 points and power forward Laura Zelnyte (190-94) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. Aistes-LSU's coach Ricardas Maceina gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Suduva have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-2 record, which they share with Utena. Aistes-LSU lost seventeenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Suduva will play against Kibirkstis-VICI (#3) in Vilnius in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aistes-LSU will play on the road against Fortuna (#5) in Klaipeda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
