Regular Season Round 21: TuSLi Berlin - Braunschweig 68-47

Date: March 5, 2016
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked TuSLi Berlin (8-11) crushed 6th ranked Braunschweig (9-10) in Lichterfelde 68-47 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by TuSLi Berlin. Braunschweig was better in fourth quarter 12-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Braunschweig to just 7 points in first quarter. It was a good game for center Julia Sandow (182) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Kristin Greiner (169) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Dayeesha Hollins (168-91, college: Cincinnati) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Lara Muller (178-97) added 8 points in the effort for Braunschweig. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TuSLi Berlin maintains seventh place in North with 8-11 record, which they share with Barmer TV. Braunschweig lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with ten games lost. TuSLi Berlin will face league's second-placed TG Neuss on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
