Second Stage Round 10: SDYUSHOR-5 - LDUFK-Skif 87-69

The most shocking disappointment of round 10 in the National League was a road defeat of 4th ranked LDUFK-Skif (2-3) by seventh ranked SDYUSHOR-5 (2-2) who outscored them by 18 points 87-69 in the game for the fourth place. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 50-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. SDYUSHOR-5 forced 22 LDUFK-Skif turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by LDUFK-Skif helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Oksana Fastova (168-99) had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Anna Hvichiani (168-99) chipped in 20 points during the contest. SDYUSHOR-5's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Kateryna Skakalina (185-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Anzhelika Zvolyak scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. SDYUSHOR-5 moved-up to fourth place. LDUFK-Skif lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. SDYUSHOR-5 are looking forward to face league's leader HAI in Kharkov in the next round and it may be the game of the week. LDUFK-Skif will play on the road against Politekhnika (#6) in Lviv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
