Regular Season Round 25: Akhisar Bld - Eskisehir Basket 95-80

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Akhisar Bld (11-14) beat at home 7th ranked Eskisehir Basket (12-13) 95-80 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Akhisar Bld. Eskisehir Basket was better in fourth quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Akhisar Bld shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard K.T. Harrell (193-92, college: Auburn) fired 39 points (!!!) (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Erdem Ilter (188-90) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists. Four Akhisar Bld players scored in double figures. American point guard Leemire Goldwire (184-85, college: Charlotte, agency: HMS) produced 30 points and 4 steals and the other American import center Shawn James (208-83, college: Northeastern) added 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akhisar Bld moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Eskisehir Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. Akhisar Bld will face Mamak DSI (#13) in Ankara in the next round.
