Important game to mention about took place in Moletai. Thirteenth ranked Ezerunas-Karys (12-24) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 12th ranked Rasai (14-22) 83-80 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Rasai won fourth quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rasai 39-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for forward Raimundas Ambrulaitis (200-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Simonas Lekys (180-93) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Five Ezerunas-Karys players scored in double figures. Zydrunas Kelys (187-87) replied with 12 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and American guard Gabriel Moton (191-91, college: Brandeis) added 17 points in the effort for Rasai. Ezerunas-Karys maintains thirteenth position with 12-24 record. Loser Rasai keeps the twelfth place with 22 games lost. Ezerunas-Karys will face bottom-ranked Lietkabelis-2 (#14) in Panevezys in the next round.
