Regular Season Round 20: SC Kryvbas - Infiz Basket 106-61

Leader SC Kryvbas delivered the twenty fourth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked Infiz Basket (3-25) 106-61 in Kryvyi Rih. The game was mostly controlled by SC Kryvbas. Infiz Basket managed to win third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SC Kryvbas dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Infiz Basket's 30. SC Kryvbas forced 28 Infiz Basket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Infiz Basket's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international guard Oleksii Shchepkin (191-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and international swingman Dmytro Gliebov (198-88, agency: Beo Basket) who added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Four SC Kryvbas players scored in double figures. SC Kryvbas' coach Valeriy Plehanov felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Andriy Lebedintsev (184-91) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Pavel Lebedintsev (196-96) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Newly promoted SC Kryvbas maintains first position with 24-5 record. Infiz Basket lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. SC Kryvbas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Infiz Basket will play against VolinBasket (#8) in Lutsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
