There was a surprise result in Istanbul where eleventh ranked Pertevniyal (11-14) defeated 3rd placed Gediz (18-7) 69-63 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 33-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gediz was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Okben Ulubay (200-97) fired 18 points and 7 assists for the winners. American center Damontre Harris (208-91, college: Campbellsville) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds.
