Very expected game when 11th ranked TED Kolejliler (8-13) lost to third ranked Galatasaray (15-6) in Ankara 78-88 on Saturday. TED Kolejliler was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 23-12 charge of Galatasaray, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American-Azerbaijani center Charles Davis (205-84, college: Alabama) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Georgian forward Viktor Sanikidze (203-86) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-Guyanese center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel) added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for TED Kolejliler. Galatasaray maintains third place with 15-6 record behind leader Anadolu Efes. Loser TED Kolejliler dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Galatasaray's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Darussafaka.
