An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kharkov. Leader HAI faced 4th placed SDYUSHOR-5. Host HAI (7-0) defeated guests from Dnipropetrovsk (3-3) 72-58. The game was mostly controlled by HAI. SDYUSHOR-5 managed to win third quarter 12-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. HAI forced 19 SDYUSHOR-5 turnovers and outrebounded them 36-23 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for HAI especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. It was a great evening for point guard Nataliya Pokrovenko (173-93) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Viktoria Lozgachova (181-85) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. HAI's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Oksana Fastova (168-99) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and center Mariia Semenichenko (186) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for HAI. Newly promoted HAI maintains first place with 7-0 record. SDYUSHOR-5 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third position with three games lost. HAI will meet LDUFK-Skif (#5) in the next round. SDYUSHOR-5 will play against ONMU-Vimar and hope to secure a win.
