Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Fenerbahce (7-14) won against 12th ranked Mudanya (2-19) in Istanbul 81-68 on Friday. They outrebounded Mudanya 54-21 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Fenerbahce looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Mudanya's players. It was a good game for center Hulya Coklar (188-95) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists. Melis Gulcan (186-96, agency: 1x1 Sports) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Fenerbahce's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Aygun Ayyildiz (-93) answered with 27 points, 5 assists and 9 steals and Merve Alkis (-94) added 21 points and 4 assists in the effort for Mudanya. Fenerbahce maintains tenth place in Group A with 7-14 record. Mudanya lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Fenerbahce will face league's leader Ormanspor in Ankara in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mudanya will play at home against Nevsehir Uni (#7) and hope to win that game.
