Second Stage Round 3: Spars Sarajevo - Leotar 74-59

The game between Leotar (1-2) and Spars Sarajevo (1-2) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Leotar was defeated by Spars Sarajevo in Sarajevo 59-74. Spars Sarajevo looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for the former international swingman Nikola Gajic (195-91, college: SF Austin) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. International forward Stefan Glogovac (205-94) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Spars Sarajevo's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Dejan Sakotic (195-93) answered with 19 points and point guard Marko Rikalo (187-94) added 13 points in the effort for Leotar. Four Leotar players scored in double figures. Spars Sarajevo are looking forward to face Igokea in Aleksandrovac in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leotar will play on the road against Siroki Primorka in Siroki Brijeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
